Transcript:
[David Taylor:] Hello darling, this is David. Hello Graham, this is Papa. I hope you are both well and have had a Happy Christmas. My thoughts have been with you. It is impossible to put into words just how much I have missed you both, my home, and all its associations, not only since I came to this country, but also every day since I joined the army. It seems such an age since I was a carefree civilian living a quiet, but very happy and contented life, and the return of those days cannot be too soon. Clarice, you have done a wonderful job on the home front, and never was thank-you so richly deserved or more sincerely given. In it is included Graham's thanks for the countless things you have done and are always doing for him. May God bless you both and our home, and may we be reunited in the early days of 1946.
